Once described as "a storybook traditional" with a white picket fence, the house is about 7,000 square feet and has gardens and a pool.Īndrews and Edwards still have a house in Brentwood that they bought before the one they just sold, and they recently purchased a summer place in Sag Harbor, N.Y., to be near her daughter Emma Walton and first grandchild. They bought it for $3.3-million and put $1-million into renovations.

The couple, married nearly 28 years, had owned the Brentwood house for seven years. Edwards, 75, is best known for his 1960s-'70s Pink Panther comedies, starring Peter Sellers, and he also wrote and directed 10 (1979). Andrews, 61, is best known for her lead role in The Sound of Music (1965) and for her Academy Award-winning performance in Disney's Mary Poppins (1964).
